Classic Manicure

Including a consultation to establish clients expectations and also to advise on promoting the health of the hand and nails.

Clients residue nail polish is removed , nail shape, primary soaking, with cuticle softener, excess cuticle releasing, second soaking, excess cuticle removal, (if necessary) triple soaking, forearm and hand massage with natural oils hand massage cream, triple buffing of nail plate to high shine and either cuticle oil application or lacquer of one’s choice.

Classic Pedicure

This treatment takes approximately 60 minutes and then add time for polish to dry (don't forget your open toed sandals).

Including consultation to establish health and /or complications with the feet and toenails.

Clients residue nail polish is removed, nails shortened to desired length and styled ,cuticle softener is applied and primary soaking, using disposable pedicure bowl inserts, to prevent client cross contamination for 100% safe and sterile treatment and depending on requirements established during the consultation, the soaking includes relaxing/medicating/enlivening natural elements, Cuticle remover is then applied, removing any excess cuticle,(if necessary).

Secondary soaking takes place, followed by hard skin removal, with disposable foot files.

Triple soaking proceeds a foot buffer (menthol pumice moisture cream) massage, removing further dead skin.

The fourth and final soaking proceeds a full invigorating yet relaxing ,lower leg and foot massage, using a luxurious moisture massage cream.

Feet are wrapped in towels to keep in the warmth and increase moisture absorption before a high shine nail buff and cuticle oil or polish of ones choice.

Silk tipping’ is a technique to encourage healthy growth of the nails or to further enhance any hand.

A false nail tip ,is placed on the free edge of the nail, cut to the required length and secured in position by an overlay of silk.

The cuticle area of the nail is left uncovered, so the appliance of a daily nail strengthener (clients choice-but I like ‘OPI’ formaldehyde free) to encourage healthy growth from the base of the nail.

As the nail grows up, the false nail is gently filed down, so over the months (depending on the original condition of the nail) you are left with silk cover, then finally a healthy nail.

This is a procedure and process that requires attention, these nails are not as hard as acrylic, fibreglass, gel-but if maintained as I instruct, they are not damaging to the nail plate either.

I treat people ,having had acrylic , fibreglass and gel who have become dis-enamoured with the process and ongoing cost and now wish to have healthy nails again and eventually look forward to my classic manicure maintenance instead.

Every 10-14 days, the ‘Silk Tip Nail’ requires securing/rebalancing, due to daily wear, tear and normal usage of the hands.

However with patience, the client can attend to this at home, so the treatment is cost and time effective as the client is not tied to the salon visit for ‘refills’.

Applying silk, ensures no demarcation line and the finished nail is transparent ,so can be worn without polish.

Excellent for Nail-bitters, damaged nails and for all who wish to glamorise!

Depending on the condition of the nail plate, a manicure may be required before the extension treatment, so that the nail plate is totally clean and exposed for the longevity of the enhancement.

This nail extension treatment is for short-term, temporary use. Special occasion, prom night, birthday celebrations, weddings Etc. However with my advice for client home care, extensions can last up to 14 days.

The nail extension is attached to the free edge of the nail, buffed ,glued and polish of choice.
